Anvita Gattani trained at NYU Tisch. She was selected for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ prestigious Gold Rising Program and was chosen as the cohort’s speaker, giving a speech before the Academy President and Board. As an actor, Anvita has appeared on HBO, NBC, and on regional and Off-Broadway stages. As a director, they crafted the award-winning dystopian film Alone, Alone, Alone on a Wide Wide Sea. She was named one of Minorities in Film’s Directors to Watch and selected for the Rickshaw Writers Room. Anvita is the Co-founder and Head of Programming at Saphlicks, a film organization dedicated to amplifying sapphic voices within the LGBTQ+ community. In Hindi, Anvita means "who bridges the gaps" and it is their mission to utilize storytelling to bridge the gaps between different groups of people.
